This is truly a beautiful place to observe colorful and varied rock formations. Red Rock is a famous rock climbing area in northwest Las Vegas just 6 miles outside of the city limits. Faith’s father came for a visit and we all took a tour and did some hiking into beautiful wilderness areas of the preserved area. We first visited the area when my father Perry came for a visit in July but we were unable to gain entrance into the park because of a terrible fire that was burning in the canyon. Later in September Faith’s father David came for a visit we took a day for the tour and a short hike (Ice Box Canyon Trail) in the park.
