On these pages I plan to share the costuming I do for my Living History" activities, my Belly Dancing activities, other crafts I enjoy like jewelry making, and custom photo frames, knitting & crocheting, and much more! If you would like any of the patterns for these projects just send me an email.
- Be sure to browse my Belly Dancing photos to see the costumes I have created. Each bra and belt set takes months to create...long hours beading the fringe.
- To begin I have photos of several of my mop dolls. The first one I have sitting on a miniature chair in my master bedroom. Their clothing can be made from any scrap of matching fabric that one decorates with.
- Next a photo of me in my Renaissance attire for the annual Ren Faire. I purchased the outer gown of beautiful velvet and made the undergarment, head piece w/veil. The period look is for during 1590-1600 and I portrayed a Merchant’s wife from the area of Europe which is today Switzerland.
- Then I have posted here a few of my jewelry creations, I like creating mostly simple bracelet and earring sets to wear with casual dress...i.e. jeans etc.. One of my more complicated projects was the “Lariat” which is 46 inches long and can be worn as a necklace or along with a belt for an added touch of “bling” with jeans. I enjoy creating one-of-a-kind pieces for gifts. I have even recycled jewelry like my bold pearl bracelet set from an old necklace.
- Then I have one example of the many hats designed for hanging on a wall, hook, chair, etc. I created them to match an individual’s desired color scheme for the room or area where it would be displayed.
- I had so much fun creating the hats for accessorizing a room/area that I wanted to create some fun magnets with similar floral themes on miniatures of hats and baskets. Here are examples of each.
- Here are a couple of photos of Afghan’s I have created. The pink one, done in a Fan Stitch was for my great-niece and the yellow one (my favorite color) is at the foot of my bed. I always have a couple of afghan projects in the works, they are great to do when you are sitting and watching your favorite television programs. You can also see another afghan in the photos of my home, specifically the one of my custom built entertainment center.
